The other day I set out to the North for a wedding here on Kauai.
Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating. To add insult to injury, I had a blowout on my back drivers side tire; I got to change it in the rain. fun!! Despite all this I somehow felt a great peace fall over me and knew it was all going to be fine. After the tire change I made contact with the minister and the couple and we turned around and headed back to Kapaa where we had the wedding on the beach at Waipouli. There was a patch of blue sky waiting for us and with nice sunset light coming on, we had the wedding; The sky was beautiful and with a dark bank of clouds hanging in the North we peacefully carried on until dark. It was perfect. A group from the hotel stayed and watched the wedding along with a group inside the Bullshed Restaurant across the water. After the I do’s and a kiss the group watching along with the restaurant belted out a yeaa and a yahoo!!
Thank you God for watching over this sweet couple from Wisconsin,
and what a wonderful end to the day that started out wet and grey but ended with a kiss coated in amber.
