Kauai has some of the most magical locations anywhere in the world — lush gardens and pristine beaches right out of the movies. So, one of the first decisions and maybe hardest decisions you must make during the planning process is where to have your wedding.
There are two basic types of locations to have your wedding — public beaches and private locations.
Public beaches are free, but alcohol is prohibited and you cannot set up arches or chairs. If you want to have a champagne toast or need a place for your guests to sit during the ceremony, you will need to use a private location. Also, the public beaches are open to all, so if you want an intimate ceremony with just you and your guests, a private location is best.
If you decide to use a private location, there are many to choose from. For example, Na Aina Kai is AMAZING!!. It’s a photographer’s dream. Every known Hawaiian flower and tree is there with bridges and ponds.
There are pictures of some of the most common locations for weddings up on the website (click on the photos to see them larger); but, I keep finding new places. I just found a beach up North that most visitors don’t know about. Come on over and I’ll show it to you, but you can’t tell anyone.
See you soon!
